Technical requirements
of aircraft
SIZE: Size of the
instruments depends on the type of aircraft in which it is to be used.
COST: The cost of aircraft
instruments depend on types of aircraft.
TEMPERATURE: The operating
conditions for the aircraft also depend on the type and its role.
HUMIDITY: The aircraft instruments should be able to
withstand a wide variation of humidity conditions from as low as 10% to 98%.
VIBRATIONS: The aircraft
has many moving/rotating components and each one has got its own
characteristics.
ACCURACY: The accuracy of
instruments is considered vital due to the type of aircraft and instrument
purpose.
SENSITIVITY: The sensitivity
of instrument system is critical in high performance aircraft.
MAINTAINABILITY: The instrument
system should be easy maintainability within the frame of cost, time, labor
etc.
RELIABILITY: The
instrument system should have such displays/dials which can be easily read and
understood.
ALTITUDE EFFECT:
Irrespective of the altitude of the aircraft all the indication given by the
instruments should not be affected.
